Today's alpha class was so far the best i've attended..God answered my prayers and guided me by giving directions which i learnt through the video played..seriously He guided me in the biggest problem that i was having and which i've prayed about everynight...

Ps: there was an example which the pastor spoke about to explain how God guide us..i felt it was so meaningful and true..and it was embedded deep in my heart..

Along the railway tracks there is this little girl who was playing the piano(though i duno how come a piano will b at the railway station..lol)..and the music that she produced was horrible..it went 'plink plonk plink plink plonk'...
everyone at the train station stared at her and walked away...but here He came..He went over to the little girl, sat beside her, and started playing the piano with her...filling in the gaps of the music...and Then a melodious music was made..it became a piece of Art...

God does not direct us. He sits ALonGsiDe with us and guide us...
and by sitting and playing the song TogEther with Him...
Then only will the gaps in our life be FiLLed...

Kairos..the Opportuned time...Today i had OCF 10th Anniversary dinner..and there's this gal, Shu Ling, whom i met like just randomly..we joined our tables and sat together.
We chatted and she just asked me Am i a Christian..and i said YEs..because i believe in Christ..and then she asked me if i've said the Sinner's pray..and i was unsure..i Seemed to have said before..but yet not sure..but i had like a recollection that i did say that before..but years ago when i was like 15 or so..i guess at that point of time it didn't mean much to me..and maybe i didn't even know what was the point of saying it cos i was still kinda young..Then Shu Ling said later she'll say the Sinner's pray with me..I was like..huh?+Question mark+ and i thought she had forgotten bout it after the whole event..But she remembered..she brought me to a corner..and asked if i wana say the Sinner's pray again..I agreed.
She started off with a prayer for me first..and i REALLY felt a gush of wind directed to me..I FELT it..it was like so amazing..because we were in an ENCLOSED area, not sitted near the door..and nothing could have made that gush of wind so strongly at that area..it was really the works of God..
AFter saying the Sinner's prayer and everything..i was wondering if i Imagined that gush of wind? or Was It really presence of the Holy Spirit..i guess so..seriously nothing could have made that gush of wind..yet not wind..lol..not even a person walking past..and yea i didn't sense anyone walked past..

wah..was looking back at my pics taken on the day i left for Adelaide..hmm..so much emotions..i MiSssSss HomEeee~~~wana go BackKKK......!!! in another 2mths or so..yes it's FasT! but the thought of having to pass through my assignments, tests and exams first before i can even think of going back Sg....it feels like ForEver....foreverforeverforver........whenever i see a plane flying past...i'll be thinking when can i go back..haiz..Home home home~~no matter how comfy you are, there'll never be any place better than home....i want my bolster~

omG..i think i haven't had any rest for the past week..busy with an assignment..was due on Friday..it had 2 parts..one part consists of an essay writing and the other is doing up accounting statements..It Is tedious...why must they make us do essay and statements..? i think the statements was already enough..Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cashflow...crazy ah..and i couldn't balance the figures..lol..anyway..i guess most people wont be able to balance it as well..hahz

I think Spring is here~nowadays it is really sunny in the day..and flowers are starting to bloom..spring trees..quite amazing cos they actually bloom when it's spring..when it was withered in winter..only branches..and it looked as if it's dead..

Hmm..the weather's getting less cold..in the day..now i can go out without a winter jacket..but the nights are still pretty cold..at times..

Quite excited actually..to experience the four seasons..in which Sg i only get to experience one season which is summer 365days..actually it's not that bad..could be considered spring i think..cos the summer here i heard it's like 40degrees? that's crazy..think my skin will crack..lol..oh and i'm starting to get freckles..damn..didn't have it before..T_T sunblock is sooo impt here..and ever since i came here, there's this PimPle growing on my cheek and it just wouldnt heAL~~~oh man....

Today was the first time i went to Edge church..together with Na..a fren brought us there..when i stepped in, i felt like i was in a concert..lol..they had a stage with like a whole band..drums..keyboard..electric guitar..singers..stereos...lightings..pretty cool...seriously it didn't feel like i'm in a church..Maybe cos the church i attended in Sg was more of a mellow kind..this one was more like CityHarvest kinda church..more happening and lively..but i like the preaching though..it was good..what the pastor talked about applied to our daily lives..

Today at OCF we didn't have alpha course..instead we watched a movie 'One Night with the King' (if i'm not wrong..) It talks about how this Queen Esther was willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of her people..and her selfless love was admirable..hmm..actually this is a back dated post..way back..so can't really remember the whole movie lol..but at the end of it, the whole point is how she sacrificed herself for her people..jus like how Jesus sacrificed himself for us..it was a nice, interesting and enriching show=)

Im like forever so blur...forgot today there isnt any FI tutorial because we had the test during lect..and i waited outside the class..10min past then i remembered there isnt any class today when i realised there was nobody waiting..but luckily that was not the only class i had..if not i'd have gone to school just for that class and end up there isn't any...lol..

Finally tests and assignments OvEr!!(but it's not the end =_=) thus went to watch Harry Potter with Na today...rELax..hehe..yea we were kinda slow in catching it haha and it's gona end soon i guess...lol..we went to the one at hindley st..i think it's Greater Union cinema?
Can u believe it on a weekday in the afternoon, we were like the only ones buying ticket?lol..i got a shock..it was like a ghost town..not like in Sg...again no matter which day, what time or where, you'll never see nobody queuing up for tickets...but i like it here..at least you have a breathing space and not seeing ppl EveRyWhEre...
We went in late and the show already started..one thing about here in Oz, most of the things are like free and easy...there was no seat number allocated..it's free seating lol..the seats do not even have alphabets or numbers..and i didn't know cos it was the first time i stepped into a cinema here..my fren was holding on to the tickets..and i was like thinking how come there is no seat no. lighted up and it was so dark we couldnt see if there is anyone on the seat..but there was a part where the movie lighted up the whole cinema thus we were able to see the seats..
Actually i'm not really a Harry Potter fan...just watching it for the effects and all lol..it's interesting cos it deals with magic...and the effects are pretty good..but i did catch the previous parts of Harry Potter in Sg...this part wasn't as long as the previous ones..i think this lasted about 2hours plus?

Had 2 tests today...Two...2 ok....right after my assignments were due on Friday...so i only had the weekend to study...
The first test was Finance and Investment..i think i should be able to pass this...but not the Small Business Accounting one..cos i focused more on the first test..and sort of neglected the other..luckily it was 15%..not really significant but substantial...guess i'll have to work extra hard for the other tests and assignments for this module already...

I had OCF jus now..as usual it was good...Fridays..^^..and even better today cos i finally found another Singaporean! The group of OCFers were like 98% from Msia..lolz..they were nice..but you'll just feel closer when you know the person is from the same country as you..
This was my 2nd time at OCF-citywest campus and i didn't know this fren cos she didn't attend it the last week and i didn't see her lolz...Thus as usual we were driven back by the kind volunteers..and this time the sg gal was in the same car as me..and we introduced ourselves..i thought she was msian..and asked if she was msian...but SuRprIsingLy, she said she was from sg...i was elated.."ReaLLyYy??" and told her i was from sg too...lol and she was elated as well haha..and we started talking and exchanged no...and saying how nice it is to hear singaporean singlish...'la leh lor..' lolz

Fridays~~my Fave day of the week and it ended well..it was GoOod..hehe..
I attended this church gathering held at night…OCF..it’s like a christian organisation for international students? My friend brought me in as she is a catholic and she attended it before..
Usually the worship is held in Citywest campus..but this week it was a combined worship which means OCFers from all the uni in SA came together and we gathered in the church at Chinatown..can’t really remember the church name...=p
I met my friend in the city, with another gal and we walked down to Chinatown together and had dinner first…I didn’t know it was so lively in Chinatown on a Friday night…but of cos..Yea because on Friday nights the city is opened till 9pm?(at least one of the weekdays it’s opened till 9pm..so it’s not that bad..lolz)
After dinner, we went to the church..we were abit late and the people were already inside and the worship has started..
I don’t know why but I felt really comfortable and good during that gathering..maybe because it was the only place where it’s all Asians…mainly Msians..it was good..i felt soo at home…also because it felt like the church masses that I’ve attended in Sg before…so it made me felt like back home~~
The worship songs were nice too…and as I sang it, it evoked a kinda touching feeling and makes you wana cry..i don’t know..maybe because it’s the first time that I've ever felt so at home..and I’m really glad to have gone..
Yep..after the songs we had prayers…some preaching..and light refreshments at the end…I made a few frens there too…but most of them are from CityEast campus…lolz..not many doing Commerce..in fact, I think there’s only 2 including me..
It ended quite late around 10? But they had allocated ‘drivers’ to send us back for those that needed transport. The drivers are those having cars and on a volunteering basis..lolz..
So this started to get me back on track to attend church again..‘again’ because in Sg I did go for church for a period of time and later start to get lazy…and stopped in the end. I’m glad that now I’m back..thanks to my fren hee=)
Last time I didn’t really attend the cell groups in church..because I found it boring..but I guess now’s the best time for me to be led back to Christ…most probably will be going for the alpha classes every Fridays from now on~=p

Had my first tutorial today...none of my friends took this module...so I thought I’ll be going to class alone...but thankfully, I got to know the gal that was sitting next to us during lecture. Thanks to the lecturer because she asked us to "..Turn to the person beside u and introduce yourself and try to form a study group..blah blah~~"and BinGo! the person beside us was taking this module and is in the same tutorial as me..life's small surprises...
However, i think we wouldn't end up as friends..maybe just tutorial mates..because she's not really friendly..and we can’t click..but anyway...still a familiar face that i'll be seeing in my tutorial...better than all total strangers...at least i've exchanged a few words with that gal...
The tutor for this module kinda suck...because i can't really understand some of the things he say...again, it's the accent! damn it...and to make things worse, he speaks fast...and he talks out of the textbook and tutorial questions..He went through the tutorial questions and randomly picked names from the class list to give answers..I did the damn tutorial but when he called my name, i was being asked a question that was out of the tutorial...i didn't know how to answer..damn it~
But this can't be any worse than the class i have on Thursdays..it's a 3hr seminar...it does not have lectures nor tutorials..just this 3hr seminar...sounds good doesn't it? But i think not..a seminar isn't good..because it requires class discussions and presentations...which i don't quite like..Moreover, this isn't Sg where it's all asians..thus Thursdays have became my dreaded day of the week.
To top it up, the classroom setting is in a way that the table is in a stretch forming a circle..the chairs are aligned accordingly..thus if you're sitted at the sides, you'll face people opposite you..and if you're in the centre, you'll see people on both sides..i totally hate that arrangement because it’s not the typical tutorial kinda setting..and if you’re being popped a question, you’ll be having all eyes on you…
No choice though..for studies sake~this is an elective but it’s related to what I’m doing..So..BrInG it On!~lolz

Today bro brought me and the dog, Evo to Port Adelaide and then to Semaphore beach. The journey took about half an hour. Initially i thought Port Adelaide was something like Victor Harbour..which was nice for its scenery and such..but later then i found out that it was just a town..and a dead one..lolz..the shops aren't open..and it's a Saturday..

Oh well..but we got to see the gate opening to let a small boat pass..something like the london bridge..a road bridge for cars and when a ship has to pass under, it automatically lifts up.

We took a video of it and some pictures too..after that we went to the flea market..it was quite big..but nothing much..

We went to the supermarket there to get some groceries and later drove to Semaphore beach. It was really nice..better than Glenelg..i think the beach stretches longer..and it had small sand dunes along the beach..and it makes the beach much more natural..Also, there's a path for cars to drive in..so that you're right in the middle of the beach..good for couples..it'll be really nice to drive in and enjoy the seabreeze..gaze at stars at night and freeze...cos it'll be cold..lolz

Moreover, we got there during the evening when the sun's setting...thus the scenery was absolutely breathtaking~!

We stayed for about half an hour or so..and made our way back...

Just by description alone can't portray how beautiful the natural scenery here is i guess..you've to see it yourself! And then you'll think...the beaches back home are NothInG~! =p

First day of school...one lecture in the afternoon from 1pm-3pm and that's it~! for this week only..because there are no tutorials for week one.
The lecture was on 'Finance and Investment'. It was held in a new building and the lecture hall was really cool! Inside was like a cinema..the area was quite big and there were blue lightings on the steps. It was not quite like in polytechnic, where they had bright white lights on the ceilings..Instead, here it was orange spotlights thus it looks more like in a cinema lolz.
The lecturer teaching this module isn't good though..she's not a local..i'm not sure from where.. Because the way she speaks is weird..and i can't understand some of the things she say..For eg, the word 'Please'..she says it as 'Preesh' or 'Pleash'..i duno what..like the typical kinda noob language u hear in Audi? lolz! mayb she plays audi...but it's really horrid to the ears..and she might end up being my tutor too? But she seems ok other than her bad pronounciation in english..because she said she'll be giving us tips and hints for exams during our lectures..so she's GoOd...lolz
Next lecture would be on Thursday..which means my Tuesdays and Wednesdays are free~! But my Thursdays are packed..starting from 11am till 6.30pm but with two 1hr breaks in between..so it's ok i guess..That's all for today~~

Today was another trip organised by the uni...to Victor Harbour. Again, i've been there before lolz..actually i didn't intend to go..because my bro can drive there anytime...and it's not for free haha..but all my frens were going..So..i just went..we could take pics together...hehe..but it was pity that one of my frens couldn't make it..as her bus was late..and she couldn't get to the uni in time for departure..=(

The journey was pretty long..i think it took about 2 hrs to get there..but before reaching Victor Harbour, we stopped over at Mclarens Vale..a wine making area..and they had wine tasting too..but that place wasn't really for me as i don't drink wine..lolz. But my fren, Ratna was happy though, she likes wine..ahaz

After that, we headed for Victor Harbour..the highlight..the weather today was good...sunny and not windy..a great day for an excursion..I thought it would be cold and windy because it was by the sea...but it wasn't...hehe

We had our lunch first then we crossed the bridge across to the little island..To cross the bridge, you can either walk or take the horse pulled tram..but of cos, it's not free...lolz. But the horse doesn't look like a horse..i think its a stallion..because it is very big in size..not like the normal horses...But it seems quite a poor thing...pulling the tram load of people...and they're only allowed to look straight because they have sort of a visor to block their view at the sides..

We walked across..it wasn't that far..and while walking you get to enjoy the view of the sea...and you can stop anytime to take pics...so why not?

Well luckily we had our lunch first...cos after crossing the bridge, we started our 1.5km 'route march'...lolz..round the whole island...Granite Island..this place is called..haha..but it was ok..because the weather was good..and we had sceneries to see...Anyway, we were trained in 2.4km runs...so what's with a 1.5km leisure walk...lolz!

The scenery up at the hills was really nice..overlooking the sea..and the houses around..but it wasn't as nice as the previous time when my brother brought me and my family to the Encounter Bay here...where you can have a chance to spot whales and the view was even better..Guess one day i will ask my brother to bring me..because i wana catch the whales crossing!

After our walk round the whole island, we went to the penguin centre..where you can see penguins..but they usually come out at night..thus we didn't get to see any...we proceeded back to the coach and set off at 3pm...reached the uni at 5pm...tiring day but fun ^^

After my bro's gf left for Melbourne for her attachment, i was left to do the cooking because it was only me and my brother..and he's usually back late from work. As i've yet to start school, thus i decided to whip up some dishes...lolz..Actually, cooking is a piece of cake! =p..hee..Mine's passable i guess..lolz..and edible...but already not bad for a first timer ok....haha..so far i've tried Mince pork, Corn wif egg soup, Sweet sour pork! (my biggest accomplishment)..lolz..

Next will try to cook some vege...and more soup...so by the time i've completed my 1.5yrs studies here, apart from my original degree, i'll have a 'Bachelor of Cooking' too...lolz

Today i went for a trip organised by the uni..to Cleland Wildlife Park and Mt. Lofty which is SE of Adelaide..

We set off at about 9.10 am..the journey took about an hour. We went up to Mt. Lofty first then to Cleland park..which was in the same area. Actually, i've been to Mt. Lofty the previous i came to Adelaide..it was my brother who drove me and my family to the summit..there was nothing much at Mt. Lofty other than the scenery..which you can only enjoy a good view if the weather is bright and sunny. Unfortunately, it was cloudy today..thus we didn't really have a good view of the scenery..as the clouds have set in...

My main purpose was to go to Cleland Wildlife park where you can see animals...However, it didn't turn out that exciting..because i think animals in Australia are pretty limited? The main attractions are always koalas and kangeroos...but we got to feed the kangeroos...and got close to the koala and took pictures with it..though it isn't something new to me..because i've done so before the previous time i came here...thus it wasn't exciting..lolz..

Other than the 2 main attractions, there were Tasmanian devils..btw it doesn't quite look the same like the cartoon character from Looney Tunes, 'Tasmanian Devil'. Dingoes, Pelicans(pretty common here..don't really have to go to a zoo to see it), Wombats, Emus, and some kind of a rodent..not sure what's it called..Bushtail? but it's quite cute..some type of birds...and i think that's all? Oh ya..there was a kind of black and white duck that was quite cute...it honks..and the sound of it is very cute...i think if there are a group of them, they can form an orchestra..haha..i took a video of it..

That's all for the school trip of the day...and we reached city at about 4pm...

First day of orientation...it was Okay...first day and i was late by 15min. Thanks to the schedule i downloaded from the uni's website. Somehow their information here can't really be trusted..
The orientation for today is for all the international students from the different campuses to gather at City West (my home campus) for introductions and talks etc...Thus it was pretty boring because we were seated in the lecture theatre for hours.
After 2 years of working life, and now returning back to being a student, it was good...lolz..after all, studying is still better than work.
There were alot of briefing and stuff..and we had lunch..catered by the uni...and it was where i got to know a fren..she's from Indonesia but has been staying in Sg for a number of years..thus we were in the same frequency!..lolz..When we speak, we can understand each other's Singaporean Singlish...'la leh lor' that kind...haha but i guess we will have to change that bad language and speak proper english here...and i'm still trying..lolz
I guess i'll end here and keep the entries short because there are a few more backdated entries..hehe..but anyway..that was all about the orientation.

Today my bro brought as to Glenelg Beach...i think it's bout 20min drive from our place. You can reach there by a tram too...quite fun to take the tram actually..for me..lolz
We set off at about 3pm..and on our way to the beach, we passed by a lake..and i asked my bro to stop over cos we saw a pelican standing by the lake...and we wanted to go down and take a closer look.
We went down and got closer to the pelican..it was soo cute! He was standing beside a couple of people who were fishing and looking towards the lake..and he was the only pelican there..no idea what was he thinking...seems like he knows how to admire the scenery too..lolz! The place was really nice...the lake was so calm and peaceful..this is something i don't get to see in Sg.
We stayed for about half an hour and left for Glenelg...
It was windy there...thus i guess that's why there were not many people at the beach..Sylvia and me tried to fly a kite. However we didn't succeed lolz..cos after awhile the wind stopped blowing...and we got tired of running here and there too...
Next we played racing with the doggy, Evo(their pet dog). That lil imp could run faster than us lolz..though tiring but it was fun..and good exercise anyway...haha
Here in Australia, during winter, daytime is short and nights are long..cos at around 5+, the sky starts to darken already...and around 6pm, i think it's almost night.
Yea..it was getting dark so we left at around 5+...winter shortens the day thus lessens our time to play too....guess that's all fr today~~

Yesterday night was spent outside with my bro and his frens till 5am+ the next day. I did not expect it to be that ‘early’…5am+? I never went out till tis late in Sg before. I thought we were only gona have dinner but ended up going to a pub and then to karaoke.
As I have just reached Adelaide not long, thus my bro planned this dinner for his frens to meet his kid sister, as well as for me to meet his frens..
We met for dinner at one of the restaurants in the city..i think it’s a hongkong restaurant? Chinese food..yea..this was the first time I met his frens..Two of them are fm Sg..one from Msia..and both the Sg guys have a Chinese girlfriend..Some stuff I’ll like to pen here..bt I guess not..Period.
Okay..the dinner was great..the food was nice..and after dinner, we went to a pub..or bar? My bro’s fren’s fren, has a company gathering there..and then they all just went for the fun of it? Of cos I tagged along..though quite unwilling..but I went along just to have a look at how a pub would be like in Australia..
When I first stepped in, the bar/pub was small..and it had a lot of people..smoky too..of cos..which bar/pub/club in a western country would be smoke free? It would more likely be a Non-smoke free.
It was quite uncomfortable cos there were many people and mostly Aussies..kinda rowdy. But my bro did ask if I was comfortable and if I wanted to go home first..but I said it’s ok..and continued to sit there, together with bro’s frens till for about can hour or so..
This was when I got to know my first fren. Not from the same uni..bt one of my bro’s fren’s sister..younger than mi though bt we could get along quite well.
Thankfully, we got chased out by the person when he went around checking our student Id. He came over our table and asked 3 of us..(meaning we look young =p). I haven’t gotten my Id yet and the other 2 didn’t bring it..thus he said we have to leave..His tone was kinda harsh..damn him. So we caused the whole group to leave the bar/pub..lolz..but I didn’t mind…couldn’t wait to leave that place..haha!
So they decided to go for karaoke next..and the first time I see my bro’s crazy side..lolz..as well as his crazy bunch of frens =p The karaoke was for 4hrs..all of them drank and sang…played games and all. I did sing a few songs..that’s all..
As the night wears longer…all of them were like kinda high? They even played some fast songs and danced to the music lol..
It was too crazy and loud inside till me and my bro’s fren’s sis (my first fren) couldn’t stand it..so we went outside to sit and chat instead. It was so much better than the blasting music inside…lolz..yea i’m not the clubbing type..more like sit in the library and read books kind…hah! Just kidding…I’m not such a nerd..or I’ll have gotten better grades lol..
The karaoke session ended at around 4+? AM..and that’s not the end. After that, they were hungry and went to a small café which sells waffle…and sat down for some..er..teabreak or something? Or breakfast rather?
HOwEver…the waffle was NiCe! It comes with Egg…Sausage..Bacon kinda….+slurps+ YumyUm!…lolz..but I was really tired already…never stayed out that late before..and usually I sleep around latest at 4? When we got home it was 5+ already…and I slept at around 6AM? Lolz…That’s all for this post I guess…

Today's my third day in Adelaide..just a short entry to pen down my suaku-ness here...lolz
Went to the city to open a bank account..still freezing outside but i think i'm slowly getting used to it..My bro's gf, Sylvia brought me around and showed me how to take the bus and what number gets to the city..
Being a Singaporean, we're so used to being spoon fed. Things are laid out properly for us and usually we just have to follow..we're so pampered. Like, alighting from a bus in Sg, the door automatically opens and you just have to step out. Just like you've a chauffuer and you wait for the chauffuer to open the door for you to get down the car.
Here in Adelaide, you have to push open the door yourself when alighting. As this was the first time i took a bus here..and being a singaporean, when i was about to alight, i stood at the exit door waiting for it to open..thinking it was an auto door...lolz! Then my bro's gf told me you've to push the door to open it...and she showed me and alighted...i followed behind..haha..imagine how dumb and ridiculous i must have looked standing there, waiting and wondering why the door doesn't open...
Well, at least now i've learned that not everywhere is as convenient and high tech like Sg..=p

Reached Adelaide..finally...the 6hrs plus journey..weather is freaking cold..bout 6 degrees..i could even feel it inside the airport.

My bro and his gf bought me a jacket and they gave it to me when they came and pick me from the airport..when i stepped outside..it was really cold...the jacket was good...it really kept me warm..but my face was not covered thus it was freezing..

They brought me to Glenelg Beach first as it was on the way home..I've been to that beach the previous time i came here...pretty much the same..

I was already having cold the first day here...and i thought it was gonna be fun...lolz..doubt so when the weather's so bad..i stepped into the house and it was already cold..imagine i've to wear the winter jacket in the house...that's how cold it is..but i guess i'm not used to it yet that's y..but they said this year's winter isn't good..colder than e previous year...and when i bathed at night...it's really horrible...it was pretty shiok when i was showering cos there's still hot water...but when i came out it was damn cold...almost couldn't take it...

I couldn't take the stuffiness too...and also the kind of empty sound you 'hear'..the whole house was enclosed..windows shut...as it was cold outside...thus it felt stuffy for me...of cos as in Sg, i was used to the windows opened up and having fresh air...here was all cold air..

Stayed at home all day...guess that's all for my first day here...not interesting eh...more like in a pathetic state lolz...like i asked for it for wanting to study here....haha..damn..

On the plane and about to take off...mum's gift came in handy as i really needed a pen and paper to jot my feelings at this instant. Immense feelings upon reaching the airport till now..i cried badly when i was about to go into the departure area..i thought i could be strong enough but still broke down in tears...lolz..same goes to dear..he cried more than me though...so silly..just another 4mths or so and i'll be back..however, it's acceptable cos we've never parted for so long before..longest was 3wks during his BMT.

My parents did tear too but i guess they should be pretty much accustomed to it already as my bro was there before me..Need to thank my uncle and aunty too..as they were always there to send us off...not forgetting YR too...=)

I guess i'll never forget this first trip abroad alone..nobody to help me with my luggage..no one to guide me to where the gate is..i had to fully depend on myself..so this is how i'l train up my independence..

It was hard to part...but i guess this is part and parcel of life...felt so alone and strange when i walked to the gate for boarding...I saw the departure screenings..and saw that the flight i'm taking, QF82, "Gate Closing"...so i had to hurry...to worsen things, the gate was at the very end...how nice..

When i reached the checking point, i placed my hand carry bag and laptop bag onto the roller for scanning..the police officer then told me to take out my laptop. I was kinda blur at that point and confused it with another issue in which i read frm somewhere..regarding laptops may be taxed but you can say that you're a student and they'll waive it. I was blur and just told him i'm a student..then it dawned on me that i'm supposed to just take out the laptop and place it in the tray..i don't know why for laptops it's a special case..Then that officer looked at me and said "Even pilots also need to take it out"..so he's trying to say so what if i'm a student...hah! What a blur misunderstanding..

After this point, no trolleys were allowed already so i had to lug my bag and laptop bag all the way into the plane...it was actually not a very far distance in..but i felt it was freaking far cos the bag was kinda heavy and moreover i had to walk faster...To add on, my seat in the plane was like near the end? I had to hold the bags and slowly make my way in while waiting for the other passengers to settle in their seats as well. My seat was the window aisle...which was what i wanted..I had to ask the aussie beside me to help me put up the bag to the top as i couldn't really reach plus the bag was heavy..=p

Sitting down, it all felt so strange...mostly aussies, i hardly see any singaporeans ard..there's a few..but most of them had company...

Well travelling alone can be kinda daunting but i guess there's always a first time to everything..this will hopefully mould me to be a stronger and more independent person..

More and more entries...hehe..for these few days..ya..cos i've been going out..last few days before i leave..yet less and less time for me to blog the outings lolz..cos i still have to do a final round of checking and packing to make sure nothing's left out..

Okie i think this is gonna be a longgg entry..

Last night i met up with some friends at Kandi Bar-Clarke Quay..it could be considered an AES gathering cos 5 out of 6 of us were from the same secondary sch..haha..ok, first let me state the ppl who went..dear, yr(dear + my fren), yh(dear + yr fren, but i also know him), fl(my fren but yr and dear also know her), fl's bf(dear and me know him) and myself..confusing?lolz..Thus, i'm the middle person..cos both sides i know them.

When we reached Kandi Bar, at ard 8.45pm..we were like the first ppl inside...kinda suaku haha but it's a thursay..so most ppl will come at ard ten plus to eleven pm i guess.

The setting of the bar was kinda hip and funky with sort of a retro design and dim lights too. What i liked most about it is that once you step in, what you're standing on is an area of lighted up cubes that is see through..and it changes color..i think it's realli nice.. Their sofa was a whole stretch with white and black tiger stripes and red cushions lined along it..fabric material..kinda comfy..but their aircon was freezing..lolz..

I ordered their Margarita Peach and it was nice...nt much alcohol taste as well..

As not all of them knew each other well, thus we were talking more in like 2 separate cliques..we should have started with an ice breaker session first lolz..There still wasn't many ppl coming in..thus it was started to get bored..and i wanted to go elsewhere more happening lolz..so we suggested going dbl O..which was kinda near..

We drove there..fl remembered the cover charge wrongly and thought it was just bout 10-15 bucks for the guys..bt when we reached, it was 25 for guys..so we decided not to go..considering the fact that the most we're gona stay is bout an hr or so..thus it wasn't really worth it..

We walked ard and found some bar and sat down...Harry's Bar..and ordered drinks again..lolz..i tried their Lady's Desire..it was quite nice..This time all of them were less restricted and opened up more..thus we chatted and the night became better although we weren't in a happening place lolz..

My fren suggested playing some drinking games and that helped to break the ice.. and i think it was more fun here than at Kandi Bar hahaz..should have just started with the ice breaker then mayb we could have stayed there instead of shifting places..We took some pics and left at around 12.30am..

As all of them were getting hungry, we stopped at McDonald's at KAP...the third place we went lolz..wow going to 3 places in one day..quite an interesting gathering lolz..Again, we chatted and sat it bout 1 plus and left..I reached home around 2...Had to cut short on this entry as i still have many more to write...lolz..

It was a fun gathering..and hope when i'm back we can have another one..hope everyone can make it this time..

Just a short entry...I just came back from dinner at Fish n Co-Jurong Pt.with some of my ex colleagues. It was just a short meet up for dinner...but it was enjoyable...getting to meet my ex colleagues and knowing how's their progress...Joyce and Gwen looked kinda stress lolz..due to their new work...

we talked bout our ex company, NSSPL and talked bout those days and how we still felt it was the best hahaz..

As Mei was still with NSSPL, she updated us on the changes..and i'm surprised within this short 1mth period, quite a few things changed...just after we left lolz..We took pics before leaving and i guess the next meet up would be when i'm back in Dec hehe =p

Hmm..preparations have not really been going well these few days..been busy packing and settling some bank stuff..some hiccups here and there..and even quarrels. All this just a few days before i leave..so many things to be done until i don't even feel excited to go over anymore..lolz

Anyways, back to the main topic, Altivo. Last night dear and i went to Mount Faber's Altivo Bar for some drinks and chill~we went off quite late at around 9.45pm as there was some commotion at home so we delayed setting off. I pleaded with my mum to let me use the car and succeeded lolz. I love to drive around by myself ..but i admit my skills are still..er..half baked?(i think fyora wouldn't dare sit in my car after reading this...ha!) lolz that's y most of the times my parents don't let me drive. But hey..practice makes perfect right? =p

If only i had my own car, then i could drive around freely as and when i like and decorate it with Hello Kitty stuff hehe(yea i'm still like a kid..so what? xp)

We reached Mt Faber at ard 10pm..which was kinda late actually as dear still has work the next day. Altivo Bar was up at the Jewel Box. The Jewel Box is kind of a classy place i should say..cos you can't enter if your not in smart casual. I think it caters more for working ppl and tourists.

There were 2 bars there..one was The Glass Bar and the other was Altivo..i had wanted to go glass bar initially cos the environment looks kinda cool and sophisticated..and as the name suggests, it's glass walls and you can see the scenery outside.Surprisingly, there wasn't a single soul inside other than the waiters. In fact, customers were all crowded at the Altivo Bar..thus we decided to go there instead. Again, it was a Tuesday and yet the area was pretty filled up..i guess in SG, everywhere's always crowded and that's what i don't like about staying here..it's too packed up.

Altivo was good too..alfresco style..we sat at the side whereby you can see the scenery..quite a good view but i think would be better if it's day cos night you can't really see much other than lightings. It's a very nice and romantic place for couples. So guys..or gals, if you're planning on where to propose, you may consider this place..lolz..

Ok drinks time..we ordered cocktail..lolz..dear can't take alcohol too..he's allergic..haha which is a good thing..so he can't drink and won't get drunk and thus chances of him er..doing the wrong thing is minimal. I wanted to order back the same..SnowBall..but decided to try others. I told my bf to try Snowball..and i took June Bug..it says on the menu that it's made up of midori, malibu, banana liquor, pineapple, lemon juice and sugar. Seriously the June bug sucks!! I had a hard time finishing it. The first mouth i could taste the alcohol and it tasted like cough syrup! and it gave me shudders..lolz it was really horrid. But after stirring a few rounds, the next few mouths was less horrifying..it had a banana taste..of cos, as it has banana liquer in it..but still..i didn't like that drink..i'd stick to Snowball o^^o But i still prefer the Snowball from Wala's cos it had less sprite thus less gassy.

We stayed till 12am then left..abit too late for dear lolz..overall, it was a nice evening spent..would have been perfect if there was a live band. =)

Today i met up with Sherly for dinner as well as to catch up since i'll be flying off soon~We decided to meet at Holland V..my fav place for meet ups=D One of the reasons being that there is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants that has a nice atmosphere..good for sitting and chilling out with frenz..
We had our dinner at Al Dente restaurant..Ms Oei was late and kept me waiting for like half an hr..lolz but it's ok..considering the fact that she was late due to work and that most of the times i'm not punctual..so this time, i'm punctual for once..=p
The restaurant serves italian food..we tried the pasta and it was not bad..tried their caesar salad too and like it! The meal was kinda pricely though..>.< ( Ok, shit..the rest of the entry for this somehow disappeared..i duno what happened but damn it i've to retype! and it will hv lost it's originality..T_T..oh wells...ok continue the entry......) After dinner, we decided to go somewhere to chill and chit chat~initially we wanted to go Tangos as Walawala was kinda packed when we walked past but my fren suggested going to it's lvl 2 as there is a live band performance.. When we went up, it was already kinda packed..for a tuesday. The area was quite small..with dimmed lightings, small round high tables and chairs. Overall it was cosy..but it would be better if they had couches or something more comfortable..
Okies, next we ordered drinks..i don't take liquor or beer and stuff...but i'd like to try the cocktail..thus my fren recommended either Margarita or Snowball..(she's an experienced clubber..lolz) She said that i won't really be able to taste the alcohol for both drinks..I decided to take Marg as it was ice blended and Snow was in liquid form..so i thought ice blended would be better..and my fren took Snow..so we could share the drinks. When the drinks were served, i tasted the Marg and didn't like it as the alcohol taste was kinda strong for me...lolz..tried my fren's Snowball...and LOVED IT~~!! I couldn't taste the alcohol at all and it was more like a softdrink..and i find the taste kinda special...=p Okay i know i sound like a 'suaku' (mountain tortoise) lolz..but i hardly go to bars and such so i don't realli know about drinks...haha..My fren and i exchanged drinks cos she wanted a stronger alcohol taste and of cos..for me i didn't mind exchanging..hehe
The live band started playing from 9.30pm..the songs were nice and the lead singer's vocals were not bad..only that he tries to sound too much like a westerner..with slangs and all..lolz..I like live bands cos i think the feel is different as compared to listening from a music device..and of cos it becomes more enjoyable with a buddy's accompaniment~hee
So yea..we sat there, chatted and enjoyed the music till 11pm and then we left as my fren still has work tomorrow..In conclusion, it was a fun and enjoyable evening~! hehe..We'll meet up again when i'm back k Ms Oeiii!!~~

All good things must come to an end~Today was my last day in NSSPL..the first company in which I've worked after my poly graduation.
The past 2 years was a fun and enriching one i must say~ will miss those fun times like the Bintan retreat and Family day outings that we had together and not forgetting the Xmas parties. By having outings together, NSSPL had a kind of strong bond and closeness that i guess no other companies have..that made my stay in NSSPL such a pleasant one~=) Colleagues there were friendly, nice working environment too...what more can one ask for?=p My reason for leaving the company is that i will be going overseas to further my studies..and my colleagues bought me a sweater and a scarf as they know it'll be winter over in Australia..how thoughtful and sweet of them =D But on top of that, there was another scarf which was 'made with love' by my supervisor..i was really touched when they gave me the gifts..and even more grateful when i know that one of the scarf was hand made knitted for me..awww ^^I really appreciate all the effort and wana say a big thank you to my lovely colleagues~
Will miss ya..NSSPL...!~~Fond memories that will stay for life~~
